1. The service
CutAway is an Android video editing application and related website. It provides tools for importing, arranging, editing, and exporting video projects, along with optional templates, connected services, and assisted features.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to agree to these terms. You may use local editing without an account. If you create or connect an account, you are responsible for keeping your access credentials secure and for activity performed through that account.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of video, audio, images, text, and other material you import or create. You grant CutAway only the permissions needed to process that content at your direction and provide the features you request.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions required to use, edit, and distribute your content, including music, footage, fonts, trademarks, and likenesses.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use CutAway to violate law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, distribute malicious material, interfere with the service, bypass access controls, or misrepresent the origin or authenticity of content.
5. Optional connected and assisted features
Some features depend on internet access or third-party processing. Their availability, output, and processing time may vary. You are responsible for reviewing assisted output before publishing it. Connected processing is also subject to the relevant provider's terms and privacy practices.
6. Content Credentials
Content Credentials and other provenance information describe available metadata about a file and its editing process. They do not prove that the depicted event is true, that the content is lawful, or that every edit has been detected. You must not use provenance features deceptively.
7. Purchases
Where purchases are offered, billing is handled by Google Play and is subject to Google Play's terms, refund rules, and account requirements. Features associated with a transaction may depend on successful verification of that transaction.
8. Exports and third-party platforms
Export presets are intended to help you prepare media for common platforms, but platform requirements can change. CutAway is not affiliated with TikTok, Meta, YouTube, or WhatsApp. You remain responsible for each platform's current technical rules, content policies, and upload results.
9. Availability and changes
Features may be introduced, changed, suspended, or removed. Pre-release versions may contain defects or incomplete functionality. Keep independent copies of important source media and exported work.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CutAway is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free output, fitness for a particular purpose, or compatibility with every device, codec, service, or platform.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CutAway and its providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost content, data, profits, opportunities, or business, arising from use of the service.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using CutAway at any time. Access to connected services may be restricted or terminated if these terms are violated, if required by law, or to protect users and service integrity.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as CutAway evolves. The updated date will change when a revised version is published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
14. Governing rules
These terms are governed by applicable law. Mandatory consumer protections and rights in your place of residence continue to apply where they cannot legally be excluded.
